1) With your computer running, right click on the My Computer Icon and call up the System Properties box and remove the network adapter device.
Note: Remember that you must copy down the current IP address before you remove the network adapter device.

2) To do this click on the Device Manager tab and then expand the Network adapters field.
3) Shutdown the computer and remove the old network card.
4) This step is optional:
Boot the computer back up run the preinstall for the new NIc Card and then shutdown again.
5) Shutdown the computer and install the new Nic Card.

A) This next step is optional: While the PC loads, press F10 to enter cmoss and disable the IRQ under PCI boards for the network cards.
Note:
In most cases you will just skip this step all together, but if you have any problems getting the network card to work you may want to come back and do step 6.B) Save the changes and continue to load.
8) On startup, cancel any new hardware it tries to install.
9) Install the Nic Card software with "drivers and diagnostics".
10) Restart your computer and finish installation of new hardware
11) Set up network settings
12) Copy Novell client 3.2 to the C:/drivers/NovClient3.2 folder and install Novell.
